Friday 20 August 2021
The 100th anniversary of the UCI Road World Championships cannot go by unnoticed. The UCI has already attributed this jubilee edition of the World Championships to Flanders, a region that is famously passionate about cycle racing, but the UCI is going that little further as well. Together with world-famous Italian publisher Panini, it has launched a sticker book with 100 years of World Championships history as its theme. It’s a real collector’s item!
The sticker book takes you through this fascinating cycling history with all the great names who have been proud to wear the rainbow jersey for one year. It also contains a large number of anecdotes about the greatest champions the cycling world has ever known. The book has 33 pages and takes you from 1921, when the first World Championships took place in Copenhagen, to the present day. With special attention also being paid to the upcoming World Championships in Flanders as the icing on the cake. A total of 155 stickers can be collected. It’s a real must-have for all collectors and cycling fans!
The sticker book is being distributed in shops in Belgium and Luxembourg, and is also available exclusively online at https://www.sticker-collection.be/. Please note: the sticker book can only be delivered in Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Collect all the stickers and complete the sticker book in honour of 100 years of cycling world championships.
