Sunday 19 September: Elite Men Time Trial
On Sunday 19 September, the first races of the 2021 UCI Road World Championships will have their final stretch in Bruges. The world championships get underway with the Elite Men individual time trial. At the moment, we can only guess who will succeed Filippo Ganna but one thing is certain: you can enjoy a front row experience of these time trials.
Monday 20 September: elite women and U23 time trial
On Monday 20 September, Bruges will serve as the backdrop for the individual time trials of the U23 men and the elite women. The future world champions will race to victory on the road between Knokke-Heist and Bruges. That day we will find out who will succeed Anna van der Breggen and Mikkel Bjerg (2019) in the race against the clock on our Flemish roads.
Wednesday 22 September: Team Time Trial Mixed Relay
On Wednesday 22 September and the final day of the time trials, the fastest race of the UCI Road World Championships will be decided in Bruges once more. During the Team Time Trial Mixed Relay, the men and women join forces in national teams to win that coveted world title. Who will succeed the Netherlands this year and become the second world champion ever in this category?
